Now here are my ultimate 4 tips to maximize your Atlanta Tradeshow experience!

TIP #1 - Plan, plan, plan!

In order to maximize your trip and walkthrough experience, take 15 mins a day, do your research and make some plans. Include in your plan questions about product(s), make a list of vendors you may want to meet or do business with, and a product list you may want to see, touch and feel before deciding to sell it in your store. 

TIP #2 - Make Key Connections!

Tradeshows are all about connections. You are forging lasting connections as you are the spokesperson for your business and your customers. So while you speak with vendors at the tradeshow, remember always to keep your customers in mind. You are your customers’ sales agent, not the manufacturers. 

TIP #3 - Gear Up for Writing Orders!

Now, who doesn’t come to a tradeshow ready to buy, buy, BUY! Why not, right?! Tradeshow vendors and manufacturers offer some fantastic specials just during the event, and who doesn’t LOVE a sweet deal. 

But before you go off buying products you like and would love to sell, let’s take a deep breath and a step back. Remember that you are your customers’ salesperson. Purchase products that your customers would be interested in getting, what’s currently selling in the marketing, and not just what you like. 

Need a little hint deciding what products you should keep an eye out for with your customer in mind? Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Who is my customer?
  • What are they looking to buy?
  • When is my customer going to use it?
  • Where are they going to use the product bundle I am creating?
  • Why is my customer buying this product?

TIP #4 - Layout the essentials!

Don’t be a packrat. Instead, pack only the essentials you need so you can make the biggest impact during your tradeshow walkthrough. 

Here are some tradeshow essentials every attendee needs:

  • Business cards!
  • Resellers business license or local sales tax number.
  • A calculator.
  • Credit information, including your bank and financial trade references (if applicable).
  • Your positive self! 
  • And last but definitely not least, comfortable walking shoes to walk all of the showrooms.

Without these items, you won’t be able to make and keep connections, make informed purchasing decisions, and much more.

Then? Well, just follow the instructions on the page after you click on the “MARKET REGISTRATION” button.

But wait before you start the registration process... here is what you’ll need:

  1. Business license, registration, or resale tax certificate
  2. Proof of business website (website will need to include products for sale)
  3. Current invoices for wholesale purchases that total an amount of $1,000.00 or more.
